Are you looking for a little nibble of something delicious and satiating? Look no further! These mini treats are delicious and crunchy and super chocolaty.
And if you are trying to reduce sugar in your diet and looking for a ‘lower glycemic’ treat, this small bite is filled with protein and fiber (and did I mention chocolate?!) but also great for those of us that are trying to reduce our blood sugar. One of the best ways to reduce that unwelcome spike in our blood sugar when we eat something sweet is to pair it with fiber and protein– the fiber, in particular, helps to slow down the rise in blood sugar! These yummy bites have a ton of fiber in them due to the plentiful seeds!
This recipe was created by a friend of mine, Terry Walters, a celebrity chef/author in our local area. Terry is a fantastic chef and author of Clean Food! Here books are filled with lots of fun and simple recipes to make delicious and healthy natural dishes.
What’s also fun about this treat is that you can easily mix it up and switch out the types of seeds and nuts that you use as well as the dried fruits. In this recipe, I highlight “Karen’s Naturals Just Cranberries” because they are crunchy and a perfectly tart pairing to these chocolaty treats. They’re products are fantastic and no sugar added! Check them out…
