Sweet & Tart Orange-Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients
  • 1bag cranberries
  • 1piece orange peel, about 3-4 inches long
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Juice of 2 oranges
  • 1pinch sea salt
  • 1/2tsp all-spice
  • 1/4cup maple syrup
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients except maple syrup in sauce pan.
  2. Heat pan on stove until boiling and then lower to simmer until cranberries pop and liquid thickens. Stir regularly.
  3. Once cranberry sauce thickens, pour in maple syrup and stir until incorporated.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before refrigerating for short period. Be sure to remove cinnamon stick before serving.

Cranberry sauce can be made in a variety of ways. You can shift up the flavor profile by using cider instead of fresh squeezed orange juice.
